Snow gear is built to layer — for a two-season buy, take the size one step up from the current height.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape over light clothing, keeping it horizontal and snug.

ChestMeasure around the fullest part, across the chest points, keeping the tape horizontal.
WaistMeasure around the narrowest part — typically the small of your back where your body bends side to side.
HipMeasure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.
Center back sleeveFrom the center back neck to the shoulder point, then from the shoulder point to the wrist with the arm relaxed.
InseamFrom the top of the inside thigh to the bottom of the ankle, standing with straight legs.
HandFor gloves, measure the circumference of the hand behind the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

Shells layer up

Helly TECH® shells are cut with room for a midlayer underneath. If you are between sizes and plan to wear a fleece or insulation piece, take the larger size.

Pants come in three lengths

Most pants come in Short, Regular and Long inseams at the same waist. Match the waist first, then pick the length you normally wear with boots.

Kids live by height

Kids’ sizes equal height in centimeters. For growth room in snowsuits, go one size up — adjustable cuffs and suspenders absorb the extra length.

Footwear runs US-default

Product pages default to US sizing; the EU and UK columns convert exactly. If you know your EU size, match it directly against the chart.

Extended sizing

Women’s ranges to 5XL with a dedicated Plus fit (1X–3X), and men’s jackets run to XXXL — both regraded, not just scaled.

Care basics

Machine wash technical shells with a technical cleaner, skip fabric softener (it clogs the waterproof membrane), and re-impregnate after heavy use.

All body measurements in inches with centimeters below; footwear lengths in centimeters. Kids’ apparel sizes equal height in centimeters. When your measurements fall between two sizes, take the larger one for layering.
